5 Ways To Get Clients For Your New Online Business

You need to first ask yourself a question, “Is my business ready to go online? I hope I haven’t missed anything critical for my clients and customers?”

Well, if your answer is yes, then you’re good to go.

But hey, is it this easy to go online and attract clients to know more about your business?

You bet if everything was this simple.

With more than 1.8 billion live websites, trying to attract clients to your online business is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

It is going to be challenging, but not impossible.

So, how and where do I need to start?

When I launched my first website online, I made sure I knew who my target customers will be, I analyzed what type of value proposition I would be offering them, and what my current competitor is offering in the market, I made sure my product was better than theirs. Not to mention, I had to build a strategy where my product was offering better services as compared to my competitor, while I also ensured I was not going on loss.

In simple words, I would say you need to first do deep research on the market. Know who your target audiences are, know what they need and what you can offer them which should be better than what your competitor is offering, and last but not the least, how is it going to benefit you.

1) Delve deeper

Define the market for your product. Utilize every information about your customer and try to develop an audience to win new customers. Although you’ve set your target customers, you should not avoid other markets too. As said by Arnof-Fenn, “Make sure you know who the gatekeepers and influencers are; they will affect the decision-makers and you will most likely need to sell to them differently than to the end-user.”

2) Make a personal connect

At times, it is alright to go the traditional way by using newer tools and techniques. Newspapers readers will not always find using the internet intriguing, although it gives the same news. Similarly, people who are used to hire people they’ve already known will always find it comfortable to meet you in person than to meet someone with whom they’ve connected via social media channels.

Cold calling doesn’t always work since people are quite hesitant talking to someone they don’t know. Which is why there are certain targets set as to how many people would they be talking to in a week. Networking and affiliate marketing are some of the other techniques used to create potential leads for a business.

Besides this, you can always take the help of a business contact, you could take their reference and referral to make your business grow.

3) Optimize your website

Search engine optimization (SEO) is one way how you can start generating leads using a list of keywords ideal for your business. Having the right list of keywords can rank your site on the first page of the listings on a search engine like Google.

4) Using Ads

Advertisements are other ways where business leads can be generated. However, a business is encouraged to spend at least 3 to 5 percent of their revenue on Ads. But you need to be sure your advertisement reaches the right audience and is effective.

5) What if I still fail getting clients for my online business?

While explaining the above points, I was also wondering if anyone actually thought about generating leads through“sales funnel.”

If you still don’t know, sales funnel is important. It lays out proper steps that will eventually lead your customer to final conversion. It includes a few sets of elements such as the landing page, a sales page, or an order page, etc.

An effective and well-crafted sales funnel will help convert visitors into customers, and it is said to be 100 percent effective.

But the sad part is, almost 68 percent of businesses haven’t heard nor have knowledge about the sales funnel.

If you are one of them, then you need to read this FREE e-book to discover why sales funnel is a necessity to survive in today’s competitive business world.
